Zvonimir’s blenny (Parablennius zvonimiri)

Fish of the Parablennius genus of the Blenniidae (combtooth blennies) family of the Blenniiformes (blenny) order of the Ovalentaria clade of the Acanthopterygii superorder.

Zvonimirs blenny (Parablennius zvonimiri) was first described in 1891. by the Croatian ichthyologist Juraj Kolombatović (1843-1908).

It inhabits a depth of 6-12 meters. It dwells on poorly lit areas under overhanging cliffs and other shelters. The maximum recorded length is 7 cm. It feeds on small bottom organisms.

It is a permanent inhabitant of the Adriatic Sea.
