Fish of the Pomatoschistus genus of the Gobiinae (true gobies) subfamily of the Gobiidae family of the Gobiiformes order of the Percomorpha clade of the Acanthopterygii superorder.

Bath‘s goby (Pomatoschistus bathi) was first described in 1982 by the English ichthyologist Peter J. Miller.
It inhabits a depth of 7-14 meters. It occurs near a sandy, pebble, and silty bottom, often near river mouths. The maximum recorded length is 3 cm.

It is a permanent inhabitant of the Adriatic Sea.
