Fish of the Cyclothone genus of the Gonostomatidae (bristlemouths, or lightfishes, or anglemouths) family of the Gonostomatoidei suborder of the Stomiiformes order of the Stenopterygii superorder.

Garrick (Cyclothone braueri) was first described in 1926 by Danish biologists Poul Christian Jespersen (1891-1951) and Åge Vedel Tåning (1890-1958).
Bathypelagic species. It occurs at the depth of 10-2.000 meters, usually 200-900 meters. The maximum recorded length is 3.8 cm, usually up to 2.6 cm. It feeds on zooplankton.
It is a permanent inhabitant of the southern part of the Adriatic Sea.
