Fish of the Lepadogaster genus of the Gobiesocinae subfamily of the Gobiesocidae (clingfishes) family of the Gobiesociformes order of the Acanthopterygii superorder.

Shore clingfish (Lepadogaster lepadogaster) was first described in 1788 by the French naturalist Pierre Joseph Bonnaterre (1752-1804).
It inhabits the tidal zone. The maximum recorded length is 6.5 cm. It feeds on benthic organisms.

It is a permanent inhabitant of the Adriatic Sea.
