Coralline goby (Odondebuenia balearica)

Fish of the Odondebuenia genus of the Gobiinae (true gobies) subfamily of the Gobiidae family of the Gobiiformes order of the Percomorpha clade of the Acanthopterygii superorder.

Coralline goby (Odondebuenia balearica) was first described in 1907 by French zoologists and biologists Jacques Pellegrin (1873-1944) and Jean-Louis Fage (1883-1964).

It inhabits the depth of 20-70 meters. It occurs near a rocky bottom next to rocks and corals. The maximum recorded length is 3.2 cm. It feeds on zooplankton.

It is a permanent inhabitant of the Adriatic Sea.
