Salmo lumi

Fish of the Salmo genus of the Salmoninae subfamily of the Salmonidae family of the Salmoniformes order of the Protacanthopterygii superorder.

Salmo lumi was first described in 1958 by ichthyologists Georgij Poljakov, N.D. Filipi, Kozma Basho and Hysenaj. The recorded maximum length is 38 cm. It feeds mainly on zooplankton.

It’s a rare species, endemic of the northern and western parts of Lake Ohrid (Albania, Macedonia).
